Greg Sitrick is a federal trial attorney with more than 25 years of experience litigating intellectual property and complex business matters.
Greg is recognized for his ability to craft innovative solutions that help clients resolve difficult issues. Clients seek Greg out for his legal expertise coupled with his ability to explain complex and technical concepts in ways that are easy to understand. Greg has prevailed in numerous trials and arbitrations.
Greg’s practice is multifaceted, covering a wide range of business and intellectual property matters, from minor disputes, to bet the company cases. Greg also helps clients build strategic business and intellectual property portfolios designed to be effectively protected, monetized and/or enforced.
Greg represents clients of all sizes throughout a variety of industries on complex matters involving patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition, AI, data and privacy, licensing, contract and software audits, breach of contract, intentional interference, misappropriation, and fraud.
Prior to joining Gavrilov and Brooks, Greg served as the head of Messner Reeves, LLP intellectual property group for almost 6 years, and was an equity partner at Quarles & Brady LLP for almost 10 years before that. Prior to law school, Greg obtained his electrical engineering degree and worked at Intelligent Resources Integrated Systems, U.S. Robotics/3COM, and MPC Products Corporation, providing him with hands-on experiences in video and audio processing technologies, communication technologies, and aerospace technologies. Greg is also a registered patent attorney, an inventor on an issued patent, and he is passionate about helping inventors and companies protect their intellectual property.
Representative Matters
◆ Obtained an $18 million damages award in the U.S. District of Arizona in a three-week patent and trademark infringement jury trial.
◆ Successfully settled a patent infringement litigation in the Northern District of Illinois between international metrology companies.
◆ Represented International Game Technology in a three-week jury trial in the District of Nevada that settled favorably for International Game Technology in response to its motion for directed verdict.
◆ Obtained a $17 million award in the Northern District of California in a patent infringement case directed to hemodialysis machines.
◆ Represented a major retailer in a week long bench trial at the Court of International Trade over a tariff classification dispute.
◆ Represented a major outdoor retailer for over 10 years in all aspects of intellectual property counseling and litigation, and helped establish its formal research and development department with standardized processes.
