Matthew Richard

Matthew Richard is a litigation attorney at Gavrilov & Brooks. Matthew is involved in the firm’s trial practice, law and motion, and civil litigation.

Matthew’s law and motion work includes injunctions, demurrer, summary judgment, and discovery motions, in addition to other motion work.

Matthew’s experience in civil litigation has focused on business disputes, civil rights, business, and intentional torts, and personal injury.

Matthew received his J.D., with Great Distinction from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of law, and is a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school Matthew received Witkin Awards for his academic excellence in Bankruptcy, United States Taxation of International Transactions, and Global Lawyering Skills II (Legal Writing). Matthew was awarded merit scholarship for his academic excellence in business related legal studies, and service scholarship for his outstanding service to his community.

While in law school Matthew worked as a Judicial Extern in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and competed on the school’s moot court competition team. Matthew also earned a concentration in Business Law.
